Levequests: From my experience this is the quickest way you can get your gatherer to 90 if you still have allowances. The Explorer II was the first Rolex that I purchased for myself. It still gets plenty of wrist time among more popular sport models because it is extremely versatile and comfortable. I got it when I turned 30 as a gift to myself. Two reasons: the same movement can be placed in a GMT Master II case in precious metal and Rolex will make far more money. Rolex explorer 36mm? I just tried on the 40mm Explorer for the first time on my 6.5" wrist- I wear a DJ41 regularly, and I felt the 40mm Explorer looked "too big for what it is". Here's a photo, hope that makes sense. The other day I had an opportunity to try the new Explorer, and as an owner of the previous iteration (Mark II), I have to admit that 36mm looks much more balanced. I have been thinking about purchasing an Explorer 1 as believe they have a sort of class about the model without being to stand out. I currently have a Sub Bluesy but would keep this and go for an Explorer for day to day wear. Does the forum think this would be a good solid watch to purchase?? Explorer I - 39mm. If you really want one, it will look good on you, no doubt. My wrist size is between 7.25 and 7.5”. To keep it simple, I usually just say 7.25”. When I tried one on a couple years back, it definitely wore smaller than my Submariner 114060, which I consider the perfect fit for me.
