There's a tiny bit of crud in spots around the base of the forcing cone. I don't worry about getting it perfect. Every time I shoot a gun, even once, I clean it. Do not use Remington Thunderbolt 22's. That being said, I love my Victory. I cleaned it after each day at the range by completely field stripping it and some Hoppe's #9 and a drop of Rem oil on the spots shown in the manual. Don't worry so much about the take down screw, just snug it by hand and you'll be fine.
The early 66 no dash is a great cornerstone for a SS S&W collection or someone who collects Combat Magnums because it was the first and has unique features only found on those early guns from the first few years. The 66 was introduced around the middle of the 19-3 run so has the same evolution of features. Each revision is unique for certain .

It is a respectably reliable firearm; I shot HP and roundnose out of it with nary a hiccup. Accuracy was a different story, however as I got the ”shoots left and high . Clean the gun as recommended by the company, using good quality products intended for use on firearms. Read the labels. Avoid using products on the plastic parts which aren't recommended for use on plastic.
